Can I tour before booking?
Absolutely, we encourage pet parents to come tour our resort before reserving their pet’s first dog boarding stay. Give us a call any time during our operating hours and we’ll be happy to take you on a guided tour.
What should I bring for my pet’s stay?
We ask you please bring your dog’s usual food to keep them on the diet they’re accustomed to while they’re here. We’ll provide daily feedings per your instructions. Please bag and label each serving individually. Plastic baggies or small containers work great. If needed, we do have a high-quality pet food available in-house for a small fee per meal.
We provide all our guests with a platform bed and comfy topper, so there’s no need to bring any bedding from home. We also have enough fun, safe toys to go around.
Can you give my pet his/her medications?
Yes, we’re able to provide oral and topical medications for a small fee. Pets who take multiple or frequent meds may benefit from our TLC Package, which includes all medication administration.
Please bring medications in their original containers, clearly marked with your pet’s name and dosing instructions. Please do not mix any medications into your pet’s food– medications are administered by hand to ensure your dog gets the complete dose at every interval.

What are your dog boarding drop off/pick up hours?
Please drop off your pet between these hours on arrival day:
- Weekdays: 6:30 AM – 6 PM
- Saturdays: 8 AM – 4 PM
- Sundays: 11 AM – 4 PM
For pickup, our standard checkout time is 1 PM. This ensures we can clean and prepare the room/suite ahead of the next guest’s arrival. Unless your pet is scheduled for a groom on departure day, please pick up by 1 PM to avoid any late fees.
Do you offer luxury or upgraded suite options?
Yes! Preppy Pet West Houston offers multiple wonderful accommodation styles, including luxury dog boarding suites with extra privacy panels, glass-front doors, and other amenities. Please call us to discuss our options in detail.
What are your lobby hours and drop off/pick up times?
Our lobby and phone lines are open Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pet parents may drop off any time during these hours, but we ask you to pick up before 1 p.m. unless your pet is receiving a bath/groom. Pickups after 1 p.m. will incur a half-day charge for partial services provided.
Do you accommodate special diets or allergies?
Yes, we’re happy to meet your pet’s needs. Please let us know about your pet’s diet or allergies when you make your reservation. We have a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave on site, and we’re happy to provide any mealtime treats, slow feeders, or supplements as needed, though a special feeding charge may apply in certain cases.
